How It Works
The Everlasting FlopStopper™ is essentially an underwater horizontal Venetian Blind. On the “down-roll” the blades (“blind slats”) open and the FlopStopper sinks without resistance. On the “up-roll” the blades close and create a solid platform with 8.4 square feet of resistance, thereby slowing the up-roll and dampening the side-to-side rolling motion of the boat.
ALSO, the delayed up-roll takes the boat out of the wave cycle/ pattern, so the boat “cancels” the next wave instead of rolling with it. It really works!
Even the slightest motion engages the wave-dampening mechanism -- the blades open either slightly or fully, depending upon the size of the wave/ motion. All other types of “Flopper Stopper” on the market require a large (uncomfortable) wave/ motion before they engage/ begin to function.
